BULLETIN NO. 53-8 1.
If and when any Parade of Progress vehicle in convoy is involved in an
accident with another vehicle or vehicles owned by others, or a person
or persons, or any kind of fixed property, it will be necessary for the
driver of our vehicle to remain at the scene of the accident until he is
authorized to leave by either the Operating Manager, Mr. Overby, or the
Business Manager, Mr. DeFer. 2. As soon as the accident
occurs, our driver should note time, license number of other vehicle or
vehicles and width and condition of road surface and attempt to hold
witnesses at scene, but should make no commitments. Mr. Overbey and/or
Mr. DeFer will discuss the occurrence with the other party or parties
involved. 3. On release, driver will proceed at legal
speed to rejoin convoy as soon as possible. 4. This
procedure applies to any and all accidents no matter how trivial they
may appear. 5. Your Supervisor will request you to sign
an acknowledgement that you have received and understand this procedure. John
